...because it's all about design/packaging, really - isn't it, dazzlenation?...see previous post...trite but true...remember how 'these' sold like hot cakes, once upon a time?...and so the car industry needs to come up with something that catches the zeitgeist, let us say...and problem, solved - in no time...oh and if they are not willing to come up with designs-that-will-sell...pressure needs to be applied, at a governmental level...go figure:
