politely of course...and along the following lines:

Dear dad,

As you may recall - I had an overdraft at Lloyds whilst living in that bedsit in Ipswich circa 2001 - I then went slightly over it and the bank started to charge me £25 a day. I then moved to the chateau in vieilley and so received no further communication from Lloyds and therefore I have no idea of the state of that account.

Additionally I have no idea who DLC are or the other companies mentioned within the letter.
