and so what was to happen this morning?  - well an intercom was to go off upon this corridor - probably flat 1...and then my own flat intercom 'went off'....I figured 'if it is the postman - then he must have been told not to bother me, anymore - i.e. he tries flat 1 first - before trying my intercom flat number 2'....

...but it wasn't the postman  - as it turns out...it was two police officers....who were to consistently knock upon flat 4's door...until they got an answer...from 'mark' who was to tell them that he wasn't 'who they were looking for' but he would tell them if etc etc...go figure.
