wait a minute....and this is where it gets even stranger....the BRITISH COUNCIL might do well to check their records out too....you see bahar...a Turkish friend of mine, upon that MA at warwick...was to tell me that she had a friend who worked for the british council in turkey....apparently she was a very nice woman and a 'blonde'...I was to query 'that one'....how common was it, to find 'blondes' in turkey...you know the usual stereotyping that goes on...bahar was to tell me that it was quite common...in fact her boyfriend back in turkey was also a blue-eyed blond....anyway, bahar was to introduce me to her 'friend'...who was coincidentally called 'anya' ....bahar was to tell me that 'anya' was much older than herself...she was also older than me but closer in age to myself, than bahar....go figure...anyway, anya was to tell me that she was doing research at a certain turkey university for quasi-collie....it was a linguistics project of sorts...which bordered upon psychology etc etc...and yes, in looks...that 'anya' who had come to visit quasi-collie at warwick for a 'flying visit'....is now reminding me of 'anya' on that BBC 'colour' documentary...the woman had no discernible Turkish accent - despite claiming to be turkish - not that I was an 'expert' in 'that one' at all ha ha ha...but having just got used to the Turkish accents-in-English of my two Turkish friends upon that MA at warwick - I was to comment in surprise at just how well 'anya' had got the English accent - i.e. she could pass as 'english' pretty much...she was to tell me that her English teacher in turkey - had actually been American...she then added a bit of 'American pronunciation' to her accent...and I can remember thinking 'that's a bit odd'......go figure...it might be worth chasing up?
