...oh and let us not even go near the 'moon pool', dazzlenation....more laughter....see previous notes upon the langley mob earning their 'certificates' for having swum in the arctic.....well, not exactly...let me explain...the swimming pool on board the SS uganda - top deck - had been filled with sea water.....and was exactly the same temperature....freezing cold...whilst the ship was in arctic territory...within the arctic circle...anyway, we all had to jump in and then scramble for the side....my heart nearly stopped, i can tell you...a horrible experience....in short, nobody tried to 'swim'....all you had to do was to jump in and survive it...in order to win the certificate...a ceremony that i was to miss....because i had been the last one to jump in...and mrs clapperton hadn't waited until i got out....and so instead of making my way to the captain's etc etc...."part of the frequency program" replies BI online....i beetled back to the showers down below and 'got warm' again...to then go and hide.....something that i used to do quite a bit...once my sixth sense had twigged that 'something' wasn't right....and so in conclusion - if this is all about repeating etc etc....the antarctic might be a bit warmer but i wouldn't count on it....as it goes, eh?
