and what page is dazzlenation on, this evening - then?...let me see...oh I 'get' it...you're looking for 'Jessica andrews' and in relation to roald dahl...who used to run the 'pen and ink slaves' brigade...gill could remember our interview with him...let me backtrack - I was to draw a quick cartoon portrait of him (after we had shown an interest in his cartoon work - more than the sting-in-the-tail short story biznez)...his partner came in - she was to love it..."just like you - when I first met you!"...he then deferred, that it had an air of "innocence" about it...and we were both put on the list to go to new York...gill had previously told me NOT to write anything 'good' for him....in the hope that we would be sent to the CIA lab, in little Italy - NY....and so I didn't...merely penned a few 'short story' memory aids...see previous notes upon 'the clever one' in relation to telling manningham-buller all about that 'encounter-with-rosemary-west-on-the-tube' etc etc....needless to say, I had realised what west had been all about, just in time...and was furious to learn that buller...."didn't give a shit" replies BI online....indeed - she was to laugh about it....along the lines of what a surprise the wests would have had, if rosemary had managed to entice me back etc etc...as it goes, eh?...'dahl' was to laugh that the only thing 'good' about the story - was the quote about the 'ice dagger' from an Icelandic fairytale.....anyway, gill was to have a private conversation with dahl...I had been waved aside, at that point....all about the hell of being at public school, as far as I can remember....go figure:

anyway, Jessica Andrews has got that 'look' about her...something that was to remind me of dahl, immediately...to then find out upon a google search...that david bowie had once posed for a 'berlin' pic, in a way that had made him look rather like the young dahl....and Andrews was to surprise me...by looking like what appears to be one of Dahl's lovers....clare booth luce....go figure:
