anyway, I can remember the presenters of that BBC children's programme - contacting 'whoever' to say that they were worried about their set for the tempest on 'magic hands'....and yes, I can see why...it fits in with the 'early cinematography' theme of hugo......additionally so does that children's series 'dracula'....the old 'vanishing trick' on film - and a puff of smoke...oh and upon that note...that 'Whitehall doctor' at the FO house in Ipswich 2001 used to use 'pink fairy dust'...a small explosion of pink smoke, in a back room....and then he'd disappear...it used to amuse me slightly...but then I was only pretending to be in a child alter...in point of fact, I can remember being with another FO operative (off on the same mission)...who was to ask me after the man had disappeared "why does he do that?"...what can you say? apart from "he's off with the fairies" or something like that....go figure...
