OTHER NOTES:

my mother rang me yesterday to talk to me about 'many things'...what the family was up to....apparently humphrey is coming to the UK on a 'jolly' she figures.....a week of lectures at somewhere called 'cranfield' or something like that...she didn't seem sure.....he is marketing manager for UCLA nowadays - apparently....although she wasn't quite sure of his exact job title....

the weird thing is that at that 'anniversary dinner'...ed had described him as a 'hospital manager'...well hardly that....

anyway, uncle bobby has bought the flat above him at thorneham st martins golfcourse and has put a woodburning stove into it...watch this space....

uncle michael is severely in debt after having gambled away all of his money...borrowed £30,000 off bobby and is refusing to pay it back...he will now have to sell his house....perhaps his daughter should help him out - considering he put her through law school so successfully and she is now earning a packet in THE CITY according to my mother....

what else?

ed and his family are off to ROME for three days....my mother pronounced the vatican...VAT-I-CAN....as if it were a reminder of OBAMA's winning catchphrase....

and my parents are thinking about going to switzerland to see hanni....and by CITY airport....it is so quick and easy to fly from there but she thinks that the way the planes have to take off and then land...is a dangerous business....

additionally she told me to keep going with my passport application which i have put on a backburner till now...

oh and this summer my parents have decided to go on holiday with ed's family to ST DAVID's in wales....apparently it is a very small village somewhere up north with a lovely sandy beach....

and she went to see a japanese potter's exhibition in cambridge...the fitzwilliam.....but it was the most terrible yellowy brown colour....and nothing had been thrown upon the wheel...
