manolo blahnik's studio...used for MI6 recruitment....see previous notes upon selection criteria...only 'total-robots-need-apply'...those who do what they are told to do on order - and without true human 'consciousness', never mind conscience....welcome to the land of waxworks that can walk and talk....
anyway, I can remember gill failing that recruitment test...because he had stopped to inspect the tree before continuing on with his run around the floor (what mental age were these 'special' candidates supposed to be?)....and I can remember laughing, at the time...because gill was to explode..."but I did it faster than most of them!" to then be told by blahnik that he hadn't acted like an automaton....he had shown an interest in the tree "and now - get out!" "you should never have been allowed in, in the first place!" etc etc....oh and I can remember now...the cctv of blahnik later on...he hadn't been too keen on being 'lord of the elves' at all, in the first place...and so when a young lady arrived to tell him that help was on its way.....he appeared to be truly grateful...go figure:
