oh and there's more to add....alexis chapman had made deb mcdonough her 'wing commander' - who ran her desk at 'hill house' combs - CID cornick aka 'red jester' was 'okay' about all of it....all right if they could get away with it etc etc....until 'trouble' came to call in the shape of ed bullard....he was to takeover control of that desk - in relation to etc etc....deb was worried - she confided in cornick that bullard was an idiot, that didn't really know what he was doing....had no idea, in point of fact....as it goes, eh?
