...oh and there's a book to go with it, dazzlenation....'maypole manor'....'lies, spies, film stars and murder'...sounds like it's just up daldry's 'the inspector calls' street......and so, let me see....did somebody find lot of 'logs' in that manor?....see previous post...go figure:

Murder at Maypole Manor: A Posie Parker Mystery: Volume 3 (The Posie Parker Mystery Series) - Hathaway, L.B.: 9780992925482 - AbeBooks

hmmm....is it just coincidence that the frontcover heroine looks rather like etc etc in the movie 'far from the appletree'?....and what does that have to do with employees of ecology and environment?.....anyway, i take it that the marines had checked it out, some time ago now....and what had they found?....hmmm...it had perplexed them, at first....hmmm....how shall i put it...a bit of an unworkable system, let us say...a bit of a patchwork quilt....which they then labelled 'toxic waste'....go figure:

and let me see...daldry had put the following upon the timer system as somehow 'linked'....hmmm...a bit of a 'rave'?....linked to military intelligence programming, one can assume...oh i see...the 'ravers' had  been questioned by the marines....and they could remember 'something' about what had happened within that location...go figure:

and er...the first thing that comes to mind is 'mouldy old sugar pops'....hmmm....remember that coded pop song 'mouldy old dough'....regarding MOD payments etc etc....go figure:

ah, i remember 'this one'...whalley was to laugh at the sugar pops pack - shooting..."shot through with sugar"....and well, you know what the sick 'n' the stupid might have done....and yes, more information is coming back now...'liz' had been responsible for dosing them up on etc etc before letting them loose around the 'maze' and no it hadn't been a paintball exercise...she had given them air rifles....and the 'ravers' had had no idea of whether or not anybody had actually died....some had been unconscious, afterwards...anyway, 'liz' had then told them that it was all their own fault, for agreeing to take the drug, in the first place...."most of them didn't have a choice" replies BI online:
