'jana' - see previous notes upon 'that woman' in the CR.....one of those names that can be both...such as leslie..."genderswap time" replies MI5 ONLINE....'john/johanna'...'jan/jana'....'martin/martine'....(remember nazi collie and her 'big mistake' in relation to 'jean' being read as a male name in french?)....
anyway, the bit where the narrator talks about what putin had done about all of those 'chemistry labs' around moscow....chemical/pharmaceutical industries - particularly those dabbling in 'food additives' for which 'jana' was imprisoned - as the chief 'accountant' ....
...do you see how it goes - when states get 'tough' with pharmaceutical industries....and who is going to stop the rot? pomerantsev chooses a strange angle...trying to make out that his 'jana' is a persecuted 'angel of the piece'...
"it makes you wonder about pomerantsev's connection" replies BI ONLINE...yes, possibly he is linked to Jana's boss who fled the country, in order to avoid arrest...she then got arrested...something like that?
