'rehydrating rose'

this is a rather old bottle...so old in fact...that i can remember when my mother first gave it to me....saying that HELEN WEALE had given it to her.....in a way that suggested that she thought that helen had 'good taste' and that she was being 'kind' to her mother.....an expensive gift.....from a respected APOTHECARY.....or one that presents itself as such....the whole style - of the packaging and alleged contents....

why do i say 'alleged contents'...?

because if NEALE'S YARD is really selling 'what i just smelt' after i tried a bit of that cream on my hands...well they will be in the law courts, very quickly indeed.....

in short, it does not smell of ROSE.....it smells of LAVENDER FURNITURE POLISH.

quite unmistakeably....my mother used to use that type of stuff - around the house....14 st bernards....somebody then introduced her to a less waxy 'in a bottle and squirt it out' lavender wax polish....exactly the same consistency, 'perfume' and general 'look' of what is in that NEALE'S YARD 'rose moisturiser'.....

it looks, smells and feels like LAVENDER FURNITURE POLISH....

so if NEALE'S YARD is really selling 'lavender polish' - under the title of 'rehydrating rose' - then this is all a bit of an INSPECTOR GENERAL number, isn't it?

remember the quack medicine seller's assistant played by DANNY KAYE in the above film.....who laughs about how the 'hair tonic' that you have to 'take orally' used to be sold as 'furniture polish' at the last 'show' in another village?

let us backtrack a little....when had my mother given me 'the above bottle of neale's yard- rehydrating rose' moisturiser first?

she had given it to me - early 2004....just before i was about to start work at ACORN VILLAGES LTD.....rimington had called round to 'tidy up'....seen that bottle upon my dresser and taken it away....stating at the time that i might 'remember too much' if i was allowed to keep it....

remember what?

well, as you now know...my mother was to keep that bottle...to then give it to me again, recently....the day that i went to visit....to bring her the orchids - and then we went off to that east bergholt gardening centre.....

i was to note that the bottle had already been used....not much of it but 'enough'...the seal had been broken....i was then to squirt a bit out and rub it upon my hands...smell my hands....smell LAVENDER FURNITURE POLISH and wonder what it was all about?

the images were then to come back....circa 2004....henrietta had visited my mother in manningtree....my mother had exclaimed over what a wonderful 'gift' helen weale had given her.....that bottle from neale's yard....henrietta tried a bit on her hands and replied that it SMELLS LIKE LAVENDER FURNITURE POLISH, SYLV....and then added as an afterthought GIVE IT TO EMILY....which is basically what my mother then did....

was henrietta out to 'get me'...well no....she simply wanted me to 'track and trace' what it was all about....and i did so....on the networks - this is what i was to find out:

helen and weale laughing about what was to happen to my parents....helen had then filled up an almost empty bottle of 'rose moisturiser' with LAVENDER FURNITURE POLISH....and told weale that they were going to 'polish her off'.....

why are the pair of them not in jail yet? that is what i keep on asking, over and over - upon this blog.....
