interesting, isn't it?
i can now see that it might have even worse repercussions - upon the relations between jordanian government and israelis/palestinians....in 'the south'....
gill had interviewed somebody 'high up' in arad...he was to say that they shared water with gaza and weren't pissing around upon that one....they ensured a good supply....i wonder now if that man had gone up to PETRA to stand there waving a gun....he had looked like RICHARD GRIFFITHS...and possibly also like Avraham "Beiga" Shochat, the first elected leader of Arad...is that who obama's people shot, under false pretences?
no wonder gill needed a stiff drink after that one....

Signing of water sharing agreements (1990s)
The 1995 Interim Agreement as part of the Oslo Peace Process provided certain quantities of water to the Palestinians, but prevents them from drilling any new wells in the Mountain Aquifer. The surface water of the Jordan River remains disputed with Syria, Lebanon and the Palestinians.
Only with Jordan Israel was able to reach an agreement on the sharing of water resources in 1995 as part of the Israel-Jordan Peace Treaty.
