i am beginning to remember what this is all about now...if you read mangan's journalistic offerings...'what she had written herself and not what she had got ghost writers to do, for her'....well the writing is 'poor'....

however this novel is not 'poor'....

it has a wealth of detail - and mentions comics that were 'before my time'...such as MANDY....

i wondered - having come across that detail - mangan claiming to have read MANDY....well, she appears to be pretending that she is 'about the same age as myself' and yet if she had read MANDY as a child - well she would be over 70 - wouldn't she?

and that is why i suspect that the book was written by RIMINGTON....and now i have the images back...of rimington writing that very chapter....in fact 'the whole book'....and on top of that....took great care with the 'front cover' illustration - as well as the backcover....

i can even remember her telling me:

"we will EM-BROIL you"....as a cannibal threat, what else?

oh it is all coming back now....RIMINGTON and her obsession with 'all things egyptian' as the SAND-RA....the SPHINX of the templars....no wonder 'mangan' devotes so many paragraphs/pages to discussing what the egyptians wore as make-up etc.....rimington knew the works - like the back of her hand....
