.....and what's new wednesday evening, dazzlenation?...well, i was to receive yet another NHS letter regarding bowel cancer screening kits - apparently I have no choice in the matter - one will be sent to me - whether I decide to do the test and send it back to them, or not - at no point in the letter, am I told that I have a choice.....secondly, the letter states specifically that they do not have access to medical records - particularly in relation to bowel cancer i.e. they have no idea if you are already showing the symptoms or perhaps a relative might have had it etc etc....hmmm....nota bene - I have opted out - regarding governmental and local surgery lists....and so why am I still on this particular list?...something 'suspicious' going on here - see previous notes upon crompton 'n' moore breezing through etc etc....not to mention stenson's ex-wife etc etc....anyway, i've sent the following 'stinger' back via email because I really feel strongly about this wasting of NHS money, when they could be etc etc....something along the lines of:

NUHNT.BCSPEASTERN@nhs.net

To: Dr Caroline Chapman - eastern hub director or anybody involved who sent me a letter dated 6th june 2025 - telling me that my bowel cancer screening kit will arrive in 2 weeks.

From: Emily Gyde M.A. - NHS number (edited out) - address: flat 2, belle court, ellis road, clacton on sea, CO151FH

This looks like a terrible waste of NHS money and shouldn't be allowed i.e. I was not given a choice within the letter sent - as to whether I wanted a kit sent or not and I do NOT wish to have a kit sent to me or to take part in this study - particularly when the NHS is struggling so hard to stay on its feet and yet money is siphoned off into these so-called 'studies' - when people die in A&E due to lack of staff and resources - talk about a lack of priorities. I am sorry if this is strongly worded but as things stand - I have opted out - regarding government as well as my local ranworth surgery list and so I am annoyed that my name still appears to be upon this particular list - why is that?

I might add that my local minor accidents and injuries department at clacton hospital (a bit like A&E but not for really serious stuff, i suppose) has been renovated and it is a wonderful place (takes the weight off of patient lists at local surgeries)- i've been twice (as recommended by my surgery - "it's quicker there - they've got all of the equipment") and I cannot speak highly enough of it. That is the sort of thing that i'd like to see supported by NHS money as a priority rather than nebulous public health studies that aren't 'proven' to necessarily do any good....lol...as it goes, eh?
