.....and what's new this wednesday morning, dazzlenation?...well, something a bit worrying happened, late yesterday evening....i was to smell 'something' not right....around my kitchen sink and underneath it....now donna had told me that she had also had a 'bad smell' coming up from the drain....but this was different from the usual...it also smelt of diesel/exhaust fumes....and so i emailed CHP....and then figured, to be on the safe side....that i would call that gas emergency number - recommended upon CHP's out-of-hours helpline....and having done so...a Cadent engineer turned up, shortly after midnight....told me that he had smelt petrol, strongly - as soon as he had entered the building....but just to make sure...he would check my flat for gas leaks and also every other etc etc....and so we did the rounds....gas meter room, electricity room, bins room....even the CHP locked door, in the foyer (where electricians and intercom agents do whatever-they-do)....he had an odd sort of 'nozzle'....that he could put through keyholes in order to ascertain whether there was a leak inside....lol....however, he didn't bother putting that 'nozzle' through the keyhole of the locked white door, inside of the electricity meter room....hmmm....i wonder 'why' because - well, i'd never noticed that locked white door before or can remember seeing what was beyond it (unlike that belle court foyer locked door number)...anyway, it was all a bit of adventure....lol....and in relation to somebody dumping petrol somewhere in the building - regarding how the smell had permeated the entire building's communal areas....and what else?....well, the 'shaved off' frontdoor of my flat - obviously lets in all of the smells from the communal areas - whereas those with 'firedoor regulation' flat frontdoors don't have that problem.....remember how the CHP carpenter who had attended my query about how my flat's frontdoor didn't meet with governmental firedoor regulations...i was then told that even though the frontdoor was about 1/2 cm over the carpet i.e. not airtight....there was no governmental pressure, regarding their current regulations, for CHP to replace the door with a proper 'firedoor' that fitted, at that point in time etc etc....go figure:

....and what else, dazzlenation?...well, 'worst-case-possible-scenario'....remember one of dona's neighbours upon the second floor...had told me about that man who comes and shouts 'gill-channelled-gibberish' outside of the collector station, now and then?...well, dona was to tell me that he was a 'smackhead'....and of course, that figures in relation to gill's mob etc etc...."heroin addict" replies BI online...anyway, he had apparently told her that he was going to burn the building down and so she had contacted the relevant authorities....."who did nothing about it"...yes, precisely what she had told me....and so...."no smoke without fire"....well, you never know with 'smackheads' do you - one has to expect the worst etc etc...oh and dona was to tell me that he had been banned from every surgery in clacton etc etc...anyway, getting back to that horrible petrol smell in the communal areas, last night...worst case scenario 'arson'....or as the cadent engineer had told me, calmly and matter-of-factly...."i' think that it is somebody in one of the flats".....who had been responsible for that petrol smell....one of the flats, but which one etc etc....and not knowing anything else i could tell him about residents in belle court and what they'd been up to recently etc etc.....anyway, he had also figured that the smell was coming from the groundfloor and wafting upwards via that vent in the ante-room, of the indoor shed...something for CHP to find out....as it goes, eh?
