....and what's happened this morning, so far?...well my intercom was to go off at just after 8.30am....i answered it to hear a man's voice telling me that he had come to read my electricity meter...i replied that this wasn't the case...he asked me if i were in flat 2, i replied that i was...he replied that it was the case...and so i told him that i would come down and have a chat with him, about it...i.e. rather than buzz-him-in-on-the-intercom-system....

anyway, as it turns out...his name was 'lee' and he worked for that firm which NPOWER hires to do meter readings...and so i explained the situation to him....i was waiting for the carpenters because i have a window that might fall in and so it was very important to be 'in' when they called rather than letting lee into the electricity room...which is located in the other half of the block, down that corridor....two sets of keys and a digital code are needed to gain access etc etc...

you see, dear reader...you can bet that if i had gone off to let lee into the electricity room....the carpenters would then claim that they had called but i wasn't in etc etc...do you see how it goes?

lee then told me that he also had flat 9 to do, in belle court...and so i suggested that he might try them first....he tried flat 9 intercom but nobody answered......lee then told me that he had a 'few to do' in the jackson court part of this block...and that he would go off there and try them....no problem...he had seen the whole set-up before and was familiar with the whole thing...and knew the code for their part of the building (another one of those number pads - next to the door to the stairs) etc etc...

hmmmm....and so i can deduce that he had had the keys to that part of the building all along? how else would he be able to get in there, in order to key in their code for that part of the block?...and he probably had the access code to the electricity room, too...if he's seen it all before and done it all before etc etc...anyway, to show willing, i then told lee that if he had no joy with the jackson court residents - he could feel free to come back to me but please....as a last resort etc etc.......go figure.

it is now 9.07 and he hasn't come back and so i can assume that he has gained entry....and what else? BI ONLINE are of the opinion that the masons are pissing me around...as it goes eh?...what goes around, comes around...instant karma and all that....because it is such an odd 'coincidence' to have happened upon the same morning as the carpenters appointment....and it has NEVER happened before, I might add...I've never had an NPOWER meter-reader come round 'on spec' to do the readings....not ever....go figure.

...and what else?...I am beginning to realise what that 'back window' in Travelodge...with the black leads and red button might have been signalling....something around the electricity room and a 'trap'?...did lee have a stun-gun etc etc....as it goes, eh?

....and what else?...well, if the carpenters are 'in on the plot'...it is possible that they won't bother to turn up, at all....having figured that I would have been 'got' by now....and so that means...i'll probably have to 'wait in' for another 4 hours....to then ring up CHP...tell them that the carpenters have missed the appointment (a morning slot - 8am-1pm)....could I now cancel it (because I want to go out) and make another one etc etc....something that I have had to do, before now....see previous notes upon 'all of that'.
