remember magician's stories...where in order to kill the wicked one...you have to get into the castle - over the moat and the wall...to find the pond with the island and then the tree with the pears...or possibly the duck swimming in the pond...you keep on going until you find the 'heart of the magician' hidden under so many 'layers of the onion'....you then find something inside of the duck or the pear or whatever...to open that...to then find his heart...
