blears is a barefaced liar - but she lies so convincingly it is breathtaking....

as far as i can remember...doing a british politics and society MA in 1996...the human rights courts (there were two but i cannot remember the difference) of the EU was not set up 'in london'....london had nothing to do with it...and they were used as a lobbying system to question court decisions in EU countries....it could hold things up for years... people wondered if it was a good thing or not....depended upon which 'side of things' you were on, really....

BLEARS appears to be claiming that 'human rights legislation and by inference the whole court thing' was originally set up by uk government....well she might be talking about what 'shami' got up to at the ministry of justice but that is another thing entirely and shouldn't be conflated with EU human rights courts....

on top of that....she appears to be claiming that she is in 'charge' of 'intelligence' within this country...'for their own protection' ha ha ha....they are not allowed to act 'for their own protection'...what sort of nonsense is that...'intelligence services - are not allowed to give evidence in a court of law -for their own protection' that is the inference, isn't it?.....

one wonders how threatened blears is feeling at this point in time? having 'flipped' a police investigation...snarled at 'intelligence' in the above interview....

when somebody talks that quickly...you just 'know' that they are trying to 'get away with something'....my initial response is always 'let's just stop there and unpack what you have just said because....' - there are a million things wrong...factual things wrong with what you have just said but i need to go over them all before you can go on to create some wacko edifice to conclude your performance....

the interviewer doesn't really help....her prompt is rather like a SUN headline....ABU OUT she might as well have said...
