the Right Way Up.....

i wonder now...i was reminded of a children's song that we had been taught in the playground - at all saints' school, blackheath....

"keep the sunny side up up and the other side too, too...don't be a ninny goat - show your petticoat..."

the older girls were teaching the younger girls how to do this 'stage act'....a bit like a victorian burlesque show....it involved lots of high kicks whilst singing 'keep the sunny side up'....and then showing the hem of your knickers for 'petticoat'....

i remember now...the ill cult had taught them to do it and to remind the rest of us....we had all seen the 'show' before....as if the older girls were a 60s version of 'girls aloud'....

the ill cult programmers in question had told us all that 'sunny side up' meant EGGS in a frying pan....and that we were now in the EGG group....

the boys at that programming session had wanted to join in....and one male programmer told them that they couldn't do...the other male programmer then replied 'why not? they are both the same, basically' i.e. zygote slaves...the fertilised egg...so then the boys were taught the 'routine' too....

i wonder if that is how LEGS and EGGS became conflated within ill cult-speak?
