oh that's an interesting one and it is all about materials....
let me tell you what i 'know' about the poster below....having looked through a bit more of that MITCHELL & WEBB book (which i do not like to do - i can hardly look at it - considering what it is all about in relation to PKW writing the sickest of all 'future script' program)....
i came across a joke page about trees...and a new 'material'....to then flashback to that mausoleum upon felixstowe coast.....it had been supposed to be a 'beautiful' design....but didn't turn out that way....so the architects decided to experiment with a 'new material' to cover up the vulgarity of the design....in short, they coated it with a mixture of something like 'wood and stone' which could be applied like melted chocolate....the result? hideous...even worse than before....anyway, that is why it had that rounded/molded effect...no 'sharp edges'....difficult to describe....
