OTHER NOTES:

'throwing the salt'....

i can now remember mr zavadil...who naturally spoke french after his long sojourn in france during WWII.....gave my father a 'rebel code' upon meeting him at 1079 africka ul....praha.

my parents were then to return to prague and to a flat that i had rented for them (ed and helen accompanied them)....near to hradcanska tram stops and also that tavern which served very good food...the one with the 'rebel radio desk'  above it...

i am not quite sure how my father 'got' the SALT LINE reference from a very drunk member of the rebel group in that tavern......but he did...the man had been contacted by the tannoy system, with 'pass him the salt'....instead a salt cellar came hurtling from one side of the tavern to the other and struck the wall by my father's head....he then 'remembered'...and left the tavern to go upstairs....where mr zavadil was 'on his desk'...
