oh something about this one, came back whilst gill and i were in a taxi back to a military base airport in switzerland...the taxi driver had learned that my family came from neuveville....and he was to tell me of a suspected case of 'spontaneous combustion'....
my father was also to mention it 'in passing'....
gill and i were to investigate it...to find out that it had been kaminsky's mob....and in neuveville...
what had happened?
simply this...they had had a look at J B PRIESTLEY's book 'MAN AND TIME'....read the files on it...realised that the photo within it of the first known 'spontaneous combustion' in Britain had been a 'sick joke' of john scarlett's...they had incinerated their victim's body and then left the ashes 'in situ' - in an armchair by the fireplace.....
the police investigating....couldn't think 'out of the box'...and almost unbelievably began to talk about it all as a 'supernatural event'....because there were 'no burns upon the chair'....
the ill couldn't believe their luck and so decided to try it out again...to try and promote the belief that 'spontaneous combustion' was a real event....
kaminsky's mob didn't have a crematorium at hand...so they ended up with a charred body - that is how 'incompetent' they were...anyway, they then returned it to the owner's accommodation...and tried to ply anybody who would listen - with the old 'spontaneous combustion' story.....

i suppose that 'spontaneous combustion' has now become a 'meme' in terms of what the taschmanns had hoped to plant as 'seeds'.....false beliefs which tend to gain credibility - the more that they are stated in public, as 'true'....
