and the theme is 'coming out'...yes i can see that....mrs fishwick used to say that mrs stredwick used to make passes at her...my mother was to say something similar....whilst claiming to be happily married to malcolm and so 'all was not well' - was it?

all in all...the above scenario reminds me of daldry's blockbuster movie THE HOURS....i never really 'got it' at the time...but maybe i do now....i.e. gay man blames his lesbian mother for deserting the family to follow her own career as a librarian in another town...he appears to figure that she was the cause of all of his problems....
