oh and one other thing, about clacton....oscar had come up from london, on a day visit - just before christmas....you know how he loves trains.....particularly swiss trains....and nowadays, i hadn't realised but there is not only a fast direct service, every hour from clacton to liverpool street and back....but they happen to be swiss trains too!....lol....he was to tell me that nobody was on the train, that he had come down on....there wasn't anybody on the one he was to leave upon...although he had said that quite a few get on at colchester....anyway, the point here is this.....transport opens up a town for trade and industry...the trains might be empty and running at a loss now....but somebody high up figures that clacton is ripe for opening up...which means, at some point...the property market will boom...when i had first started to live in clacton - 2009....the connections were terrible...most trains went to the other colchester station...you then had to catch a bus, or walk fast through the town centre....to get to the north station-london connection...that could take half an hour or more...and now, such an easy journey...a piece of cake...and swiss trains too, i might add...so many of them time-tabled in - on the hour...with nobody on them?...something's going on, isn't it...more laughter....a project that had started 2018, according to etc etc......go figure.

oh and a fly in the ointment about it all...the trains might be 'swish' but the platform is not - at clacton station....in short, oscar had been terrified of falling through the gap...and yes, there had been a real danger there....particularly for the very young and the elderly....i have no idea about the tracks but anyway...and they had looked such a long way down - it was really a rather scary moment, i might add...in short, the gap was simply far too large and oscar had had to make a real effort, in order to board the train safely...the train had been considerably higher up than the platform and too far away...okay, he had walked to the front of the train - in order to be the first through the barriers at liverpool street but even so...the platform should be aligned to the train, all the way down....or perhaps you simply need less carriages at clacton....couple another one on at colchester for the extra crowd?....at any rate, it all needs to be looked into - as a matter of health and safety before disaster strikes.....as it goes, eh?
