....and what's new this saturday morning, dazzlenation?...well, i've finally found the film that you had recently referenced, along with gilly_breeze....and yes, it is on the timer system...viewed, so many years ago now - at a BI auditorium for a large but 'select' audience...lisa's son was of the opinion that the beast was mcgowan...a bit of a 'bern bear', then?...oh and 'lisa's tail', let us say i.e. that 'true american dog' photoshop contribution had, no doubt, been inspired by etc etc...additionally, sue whalley had been very quiet, throughout the viewing...anyway, all a bit alice in wonderland but not....where a sort of 'white rabbit' and 'dormouse' end up dead...or x-rated benny hill - whatevver you decide...oh and the film is interesting, if only because views were so divergent upon it....normally you get some kind of consensus but not with 'this one' - in point of fact, most people were kind of quiet, in giving up their opinions/views etc etc...nota bene - 'racism' didn't enter the 'chat' that ensued after viewing that film....and i can remember thinking 'english-speaking british ghana opposed to french-speaking ghana' in relation to what dabydeen had talked about - regarding the conversation between american chauffeur and french butler...anyway, for my own part, i was most taken with the cat that trots off down the hallway, with its tail up, near to the end...kind of reminded me of 'meet the fockers'....lol...oh and 'obedient to their masters' i.e. dogs - might not necessarily react - that way, in the midst of human emotional turmoil, around them...perhaps they would have whined or begged etc etc and so a cat, just doing what a cat normally does...during scenes of extreme human distress - just seemed like the perfect 'antonym' to the whole horrorshow...as i had done - after digging up the whole nightmare, having viewed it, again...after all of these years...just walk through it and away, whilst trying not to let it affect you etc etc...i.e. the whole BI 'select viewing' audience number of so many movies...see previous posts upon 'all of that'...anyway, a BFI subscription lets you into the 'game-at-play', let us say....go figure:
