...oh and one of the cleaners had been called 'gwendoline' - dazzlenation....yes - really, i can remember asking the lead cleaner...."like malory towers?"...apparently not....anyway, i then told melanie that i would remember 'that bit'....hmmm....remember browne and her ill cult vicar 'father browne' number....she had once said to me, at around 10 years old "i'm darrell and you're alicia"...alicia - who was good at maths....nota bene sicilian MA student in that claycroft flat, had gone by the name alicija...her first degree had been in economics.....go figure:
