...oh and something around a 'shaggy dog' story - which isn't funny, unless you know how to add the 'james joyce' touch i.e. act it out, according to the nuances of character....let me make this easier for you - dazzlenation...imagine edina and patsy, out to lunch - at the savoy/claridges etc etc...and towards the end of the lunch - edina admits that she cannot remember patsy's name - after all of these decades of eating out, together - after the obligatory 'retail therapy' -with all of their shopping bags, stacked around them....anyway, edina hopes and prays that she hasn't offended patsy - after all of these golden years of friendship...."but - what is your name?".....patsy pulls herself up and stares archly back at edina.....silence reigns for a few minutes - then she states..."can i get back to you - upon that one?"...old hags at work...having a 'senior moment'...lol.....go figure:
