and why would we be looking at all of this, dazzlenation?...well, it's something around grandpa 'n' grandma clayton...see previous notes upon their lancastrian 'working class' roots....and a very large pink piggy bank....which had been given to the young ed gyde...who was to show it to me, one day....it was full and he wanted to get the money out...so many pennies and two-pence pieces had been shoved into it....that the coins were jammed into the top of it....and so i suggested a hammer...found one, gave it to him....and then showed him how to dispose of the pottery, carefully wrapped in newspaper - to then put into the bin under the sink.....and then i took him down to the local bank in olton, on the warwick road shopping parade....to get them to change the money into something bigger...a fiver and a bit of small change, as it turned out...ed was in a very excitable mood, by that point in time...he was running in circles, making his 'special' hand gestures, around the floor of the bank....the cashier was to ask if he was 'all right'...i replied that he always did that, when he was excited...it was 'normal' behaviour, to me - you see....the whole family was so 'odd' but nobody was allowed to say so etc etc...anyway, after changing the money, we visited the newsagents....and just before we went in - ed asked me if i wanted something too....odd....because he wasn't normally that 'thoughtful'....anyway, i declined...he then bought a crunchie, with the small change....later on, oscar was to find out what we had done....sylvia was annoyed/worried....she then retrieved the pieces of pottery from the bin...and told us that we would have to wait and see what the grandparents would say....oh and the 'next bit' is so repulsive, dazzlenation....too horrible....anyway, as it turned out....grandpa had programmed grandma clayton as the 'pink pig' - that ed put money into....she was the 'bank'....and it was 'her money'...i can remember them, standing in his bedroom...viewing the pieces of that pink piggy bank....and how had ed earned that money?...well, every time oscar had abused him - he had put a few pence into that piggy bank...."because that's all your worth!"...and so what did grandpa clayton do about it all....after realising that it hadn't worked....well, to backtrack - seeing as ed had had to go into hospital because of that huge boil upon his anus....which had had to be lanced off and stitches put in....grandpa clayton eventually figured that more abuse might not be the right way to handle it....he was frightened of attracting too much attention - regarding another hospital visit etc etc....oh and what about gill, you might ask - dazzlenation....because he had suffered a similar fate, as a child...and well, he hadn't gone to hospital for that 'rosary ring' around his anus...his father had simply started to give him heroin.....and upon a daily basis....so that going to the toilet in the mornings - wasn't unendurable, let us say....go figure:
