...and that leads me onto the idea of 'black lists', dear reader - see previous post...because I was to wonder about the 'etymology' of it all....seeing as nowadays...it would be more appropriate to say 'in banking terms'..."you're on my red list" i.e. in debt....anyway, I then had a look at 'blacklist' in computing terms...the 'block list'....see previous notes upon mark r's 'block management' company etc etc including that 'oddity' which has cropped up recently - regarding my having apparently blocked certain twitter sites, when not having a twitter account - that should be impossible etc etc....go figure:

oh I remember now....toddy talking about 'SORBS'....in relation to those who had been 'blacklisted' by the ill cult:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam_and_Open_Relay_Blocking_System

DNSBL and 'black holes'...how very 'cosmic'....LOL:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNSBL

and what else?

"In Linux modprobe, the blacklist modulename entry in a modprobe configuration file indicates that all of the particular module's internal aliases are to be ignored. There are cases where two or more modules both support the same devices, or a module invalidly claims to support a device."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modprobe

and yes, I would guess that the above...is what McDonald should be looking at, in terms of 'system restore', gill....see previous post:

oh and McDonald might like to know...that mark r and Obama had programmed him as a 'daemon'....go figure:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daemon_(computing)

oh and Obama himself, had been programmed as an avahi-daemon....remember MIR-AND-A?

. Avahi's "ihavA" advertisement results in adding user access to printers, files and other networked services
