...and what was to happen this monday morning?...something that has happened before, now - at the HSBC cashpoint....see previous notes upon ordering money and then the cashpoint not paying out....happened again at the HALIFAX this morning...and the way to deal with it, appears to be....simply eject your card...then put it back into the machine again and get a printed statement of your bank balance...if the money has gone out then you are in trouble....if it hasn't...there shouldn't be a problem.

...and so in short, that is what i am hoping, this evening...that the halifax won't take the money out of my account later on...the HSBC didn't after the above had happened and an employee was to assure me that it wouldn't - having checked inside of the bank, the last time...sometimes there is a 'glitch' in the system etc etc...

oh and there's more as there invariably is...a david baddiel lookalike was standing behind me at the HALIFAX...and i 'knew' that something was in the air....'Tomlinson's hair' as it turned out...and a tomlinson lookalike in QD, later on....who was in a real 'tizz' about something....go figure.

Anyway, having sussed that something wasn't quite right whilst about to use the HALIFAX cashpoint...i then asked DB lookalike if he would like to go first...he reacted rudely..."NO"....i wondered why...i had been polite...i then assured him that i was just checking something...whilst rooting around in my purse....he then went first...to find out the above... that the machine wasn't paying out (oh and the other one, beside it - had a 'not operational' message up)...however, he didn't bother to tell me that it wasn't paying out...despite my having let him go first...ha ha ha...even more rude....anyway, he had done 'as above'....put his card in twice etc etc...he then queued up at the HSBC cashpoint...which had quite a queue, by that point in time....i decided not to do so....went down to the sainsbury cashpoint...got a print-out of my bank balance....and so if the HALIFAX does take the money, later on...i will have proof that it was still in my account....a few minutes after i had used their cashpoint etc etc...and to cut a long story short...there is a radio file attached, marines....go figure:
