....and what's new this tuesday evening, dazzlenation?...well, the following is upon my youtube frontpage, this evening....and yes, i've already had a look at 'tartaria' themed videos...that have previously appeared upon etc etc....and this latest video?....hmmm....somewhat reminds me of reading philip pullman novels....you get 'sucked in' as it were.....lol.....remember pullman was an 'old devil'....a bit like jonathan miller....and yes, he hadn't written (or not much of) his own books...just filled in bits, here and there - more of an 'editor' really....but that is not to say that the novels are without interest - to the contrary, they are really, rather interesting....for example, shana lewish had been chosen as 'ghost writer' to pen his early attempts at etc etc....anyway, pseudo-historical conspiracy theories, anybody?....not that i'm knocking it all - out of hand...there is 'something' here - if only i could remember precisely what....for example, as children, in the late 60s - we were taken to see the site of the former 'crystal palace' and told something of its history - not the official version, either - i might add...by scarlett and rimington...."fairy palace" replies BI online...oh no, not 'that' again....remember that 'fairyland' signal - the one that uncle bobby (ex-signals) was to say he wouldn't touch with a barge pole etc etc.....go figure:

oh and according to comments....'doctor who' has often referenced 'crystal palace' over the decades....and let me see...off on a tangent, now....lol....who let rodway in as an 'extra'?....anyway, yes - i can remember now...the following had been a reminder of etc etc....go figure:
and let me see...what else is on the timer system?...oh i remember this painting....quite a few of BI had discussed it, unable to conclude etc etc....anyway, for what it's worth...my own 'take' upon the following is all about 'light'....the 'light' of the temple is somewhat hidden - shrouded by the dark trees....almost as if it were an interior light that shines from within vs the exterior light of the fire in the forest (although it appears to be sunlight that is illuminating the temple).....one could say that this is about the soul and 'illumination' vs a natural flame....and then we have the second version....which to my mind, looks rather like a bunsen burner - n.b. the naked flame burning 'blue' at a very high temperature - a gas valve turned on?.....vs the 'white light' of the temple - almost obscured by the blast.....hmmmm....draw your own conclusions....lol.....go figure:
and if you view the two paintings side by side?....well, if you look at it pragmatically....the first could cause a forest fire....lol....whereas in the second, the altar has been moved along, into the foreground - so that it won't set fire to the overhanging branch etc etc...oh and the season, appears to have changed...from autumn to spring....additionally and this is tongue-in-cheek, i might add...having noted that artists normally put something of their 'subconscious' into their paintings....in some cases, reflecting their own appearance-in-the-mirror etc etc...and so what does anybody make of that 'funny face' upon the base of the tree?...as it goes, eh?
a swiss version of 'triton' perhaps?....because the water element within the paintings is also significant....a bit of a forest flood etc etc...go figure:
oh and i find this shot, really rather worrying, in relation to the costumes of those kneeling.....not flowing robes, anymore.....not for the first two, at any rate....more like bound prisoners....and the image doubles up as if it were one person, parcelled up...hmmm.....remember that 'apocalypse now' movie quote "i love the smell of napalm in the morning"?...and then we're back to rear admiral losey etc etc...go figure:
oh and what about that black upside down spider shadow, in the trees - or is this getting a bit 'silly' now?
