oh and remember that young man with the ginger hair - who used to run ipswich adult education centre 'life drawing' classes?...came from liverpool, as far as i can remember....anyway, he was to allow a very talented 'technical drawing' student into the class (despite it being oversubscribed, at the time) for a session.....remember him?....put us all to shame....measuring out every single line....looked almost like a line drawing done over a photo, when finished....."anatomical" replies BI online....yes, that would be 'it' as in the result....having meticulously measured out the planes/contours and distances between...all of the angles etc etc....a bit like watching somebody draw the exterior of an aeroplane upon a draughtsman's board - or something like that....rather than a human being....whilst the real 'block of wood' was waiting in the carpark....lol....see previous post:

looked more like the one holding the board, than the one smoking the pipe but anyway....lol....and there was the rest of us....'freedom of expression' and all of that....loose brushstrokes all over the place....an uninhibited sense of 'colour' let us say...and then....somebody who not only gets the exact etc etc...how embarrassing, eh?....technical drawing expertise/engineers should not be allowed in life-drawing classes, should they?....when you've got a 'leonardo da vinci' in your class - it turns the whole session into a 'damp squib'.
