and funnily enough, i think that i know what this is all about now...i digress - having watched a few videos on youtube....upon the subject of merlin/mordred etc etc and having remembered mrs graham's interest in the whole 'fisher king' number...and yes, BI had compiled quite a few memory aids around 'that one'....anyway, the idea of merlin captured in the trunk of an oak....a variation upon the myth (normally he is trapped underground)....reminded me of 'the tempest' and that 'blasted oak'...which in turn reminds me of mr putin's drawing of a blasted oak, with a little owl, in the hollow...all you can see are its eyes, in the darkness...could also have been a squirrel, i suppose....i'm not sure....anyway, this is bound to be about magicians/mathematicians and so something to do with toddy, perhaps?...see previous notes upon prince charles and his 'diddymen' scientists:
