what else? well my mother was to send me her phone number in London via email...'from her ipad'....I had added an extra '8' to the previous one that I had been given (there are two and not three 8s in it)...a mistake whilst writing it down, I suppose....anyway, I was to try it this morning....to get a strange electronic 'jarring' sound...not like an engaged tone...I wondered what it might be...a few short blasts of 'that one' and then cut off....in the mists of time, I could remember 'something like that'...when I used to use dial-up and a landline connection to get onto the internet...maybe that was it? one phoneline and my father on the internet?..that is what used to happen so many years ago now....
