SP were being asked to prove that 'it exists' within limited parameters.....unable to do tests that would prove the original hypothesis as wrong....
'cat in the box' time.
MI5 'critical thinking' papers - are pretty much 'the same thing'....
OTHER NOTES:
now let us look at different puzzles.....
let us look at purely hypothetical ones....such as:
man walks into a bar and asks for a glass of water
the barman takes out a gun shoots it
the man then says 'thank you' and leaves. why?
answer: he had the hiccups - needed a shock to jolt him out of them.
the above is purely hypothetical and is asking you to 'think outside of the box'.
it is asking you to look at context - to use inductive rather than deductive reasoning in order to solve the problem.
