the threat of cataracts...yesterday and today....
as far as I know...the ill used to cause cataracts/blindness in slaves - by telling them to rub/scratch their eyes as much as possible....little martini used to rub her eyes like she was trying to rub something off a window pane and I used to tell her not to....
my mother was to tell me something around 'build-up' if you do that....it is rather like 'hard skin' on your feet.....
