OTHER NOTES:

...this morning, i was to remember daldry saying "he will have been trying to tell you something"...i.e. colin pointing to his moustache and saying "come here dougal"...i kid you not...he then got out a dog whistle...

i then thought about his role in LOBSTER to think "he looks a bit like what malcolm stredwick had looked like in the 60s"...see previous notes...i then tried to remember what his job had been...a bank manager, as far as i can remember...and his wife ann had been a nurse...i then remembered that MI5 russian course in 1980 and our 'stay' in that 'hen hostel' in interlaken...the young men upon the course...had a 'visitation' from the 'nightnurse'....see previous notes...anyway, roll on the years....prague 1995 - another 'malcolm'...this malcolm was head of teacher training at the BC...this malcolm and daldry fell about...at the mention of that 70s advert for 'night nurse' cough mixture...the mother who screams up the stairs "MALCOLM!"...'malcolm and the nightnurse'?

next up...i was to go back to the 60s...to remember ann stredwick telling 'us children' that malcolm had learned a thing or two from the masons...malcolm was then to show us his cribbage game...."you have to crib" he explained...and then put a stick into the board, to show us 'how to do it'...and what else? something around a fraction which wasn't really a fraction...one over one?

anyway, all i can remember about malcolm stredwick so far, is that he was of a small stature... had a moustache and slicked-back, longish black hair ......he used to put a lot of oil into it...roll on the years - the next thing that i was to remember...was my mother telling me once or twice about what mrs fishwick had said about malcolm stredwick...apparently he had divored his wife and set up home with "the lady in the pink fluffy jumper"...that was all mrs fishwick knew about 'the other woman' apparently....the couple had then set up home in norfolk.

however crazy the above might seem...it was important for daldry to remember the above...and something else...but what?

...my hunch is around that TREAP photo..."don't let him in" as in the cock-at-the-door...
