....and what's new this wednesday, dazzlenation?...well, it began with spotting a dead ringer for mrs fishwick on pier avenue, this morning....apart from the fact that he was easily 6 foot and etc etc....i then remembered sylvia saying that she had had a brother, who looked just like her....and that her mother had been a 'lady'...a big house, somewhere up north etc etc....anyway, the man had looked about that age, so to speak and therefore i was to wonder if by any chance etc etc....to then remember a rather curious incident - regarding the local poacher in shotley - circa 1980....a bit like stan-the-man in combs and bryn in east bergholt...the man to know when money was tight (particularly during WWII) etc etc....anyway, he was invited to dinner....a dinner that he had provided for with his shotgun....lol....along with the brother (if he were a bird etc etc) and dr tony smith, along with a neighbouring couple...their son had apparently played with the poacher, when young until his unfortunate demise etc etc...and what else?...well, the old frog's bone was to come up in conversation - the poacher appeared to be frightened of it - seeing it as 'dark magic'....the mark of a witch etc etc...although he was then to produce one, out of a pocket...said that it had been handed down to him but had brought nothing but bad luck....dr tony smith was keenly interested in the whole thing....he could come and stay at the rectory....use one of the old out buildings....mrs fishwick wasn't sure etc etc....go figure:
