....and what else is new, dazzlenation....in a very alternate dimension, let us say....hmmm...how shall i put this.?....well, a new chp carpenter came to call, this morning - not the 'usual' as in an 'ian rickson' type, who had known precious little about windows and who was also abusive, in a rather covert 'toby macklin' sort of way - you know what i mean (pat andrew had given me a prior warning about him - called him 'intelligent' - lol i.e. must have worked with her department, at some point) - walking in with horribly muddy boots (mud all over the carpets afterwards) - despite having been asked at my frontdoor to etc etc..."messing you around" replies BI....he didn't even have a sheet, upon which to work - something that most CHP operatives, lay upon the carpet before starting work - not to mention his airy and casual reference to coming again - after inspecting the repair necessary....along the lines of calling at any time he liked ....maybe even the evening - he couldn't say....any day or time etc etc....at some time or other - in order to finish the job - and to cap it all, annoyed when i told him that it was chp's policy to  make bookings in order to keep residents safe etc etc....anyway, I take it that he has gone by the wayside along with any 'daldry' type that might have been 'attached', let us say, accordingly - at chp.....oh not to mention the 'chipboard' that he had been programmed to put in - in order to symbolise you-know-what....see previous notes i.e. cipolla's nickname 'chip'....and his idiocy - regarding potsy's sky program etc etc....anyway, the latest chp carpenter was a man who knew his job - he found out very quickly indeed, what was wrong with that living room window and then re-secured it....he was then to contact his boss at chp....i listened to the call, in my living room....his chp boss had/has an american accent - i kid you not - a very confident american accent/voice in relation to what chp carpenter had to say.... what can you make of that - unusual and a 'first' for me, that americans are currently running repairs at chp - to say the least - lol etc etc.....and you know what?...the weirdest thing about it all.....during our 'chat' about what needed to be done, in this flat....'new-chp-plumber' kept on showing the whites-of-his-eyes.....yes, really.....a bit unnerving.....he kept on suddenly looking upwards, with a flutter of his eyelashes....until only the whites-of-his-eyes were showing under half-closed lids......anyway, without having access to 'previous history' regarding that living room window....he had a look at how i opened that type of window, in another room - he then got his tools....took out a wrench etc and immediately solved the problem....unlike 'ian rickson' type....to whit, the top hinge was completely 'off' the wall and with it, the entire window and so the whole thing had to be replaced....chp would have to contract a company in and all i had to do was to wait for an email from them, regarding the replacement of the whole window and hinges etc etc....go figure.
