.....and what's new this tuesday evening, dazzlenation?...EON NEXT attempting to hard-sell smart meters and in an underhand way, i might add because they didn't state, in their letter to me, that they would be replacing the electric meter with a smart one, now - did they? They merely stated that there is a legal obligation to check and exchange your meter...without stating that this is 'because it has come to the end of its certified life'....followed up by "we're offering a choice of gifts to all of our customers when they have smart meters installed"...therefore i need to know if that meter actually has come to the end of its certified life....how would they know?...they don't have access to that meter room etc etc....additionally, donna (who is very much a 'techie', let us say) tells me that the wifi wouldn't work, anyway - the meter room is too far away from the flats and so what gives?....i suppose that i will have to contact them again, in order to sort this out...along the lines of 'come and check its certification by all means but if you muck up my electric meter/supply by attempting to install a smart meter, unsuccessfully as well etc etc (which i do not want and your company has admitted that they have no right to ask their customer base to do so), i will hold you liable' etc etc - ibrahim.suleman@eon-next-cabac46b5ea2.intercom-mail.com - go figure:
