 ...and what's new this sunday morning, dazzlenation?....hmmm......something around 'sparkling wines' vs 'champagne' and in relation to what penny had called "pro-sec-io".....go figure:

ah, i remember now...she'd been on the tail of sonia fisher - a 'tardy' number....welsh pro-sec-io, anybody?....oh and a footnote to it all - almost every czech wine, grown in various regions - had tasted a bit like 'prosecco' - mid to late 90s...apart from one, according to matt smith at the british council DTO...hmmm...tasted a bit sweeter, than the rest - as far as i can remember....anyway, guests....to various british council parties (1994-6) used to think that what-ever-it-was (unless they asked)....in their wine glasses, had been champagne...not so, just a cheap czech substitute....and not served in 'flutes', i might add....go figure:

oh and there is an aside to what 'mr tobacconist/paper/bread' shop, used to sell in vieilley....barrels of homemade wine, in the back...cheap at the price...starting from about less than £1.50, and in a recyclable bottle (bring in your empties)....rodway was to splutter "i can't drink that!" after her adoptee children had bought one and proceeded to drink it...i.e. they didn't appear to think that it was a 'bad deal'....and so i can only assume that the stringent french rules 'n' regulations over 'home-brewing' and 'wine-making' had been in place.....unless he had found a loophole...and so despite the wine coming out of old wooden barrels, which had looked like they might once have contained beer....lol...and yes, i can finally see what i am getting at, here....that old biblical number - relating to wine out of old skins vs new skins...something that the mossad had been the most horrified about, of all....i have no idea, 'why' as yet...only that those of the catholic faith might know...the symbolism of it all, eh?....lol....go figure.

as wide as the ocean, eh?

"As Petr Ocenasek, a winemaker from Moravia, puts it;
“If ten comrades tasted one wine, you would have ten different opinions. That was in stark contrast with their ideology, appealing to uniformity in all areas.”
So, we can imagine what the wine culture was like during this period, mass produced blandness."

and so during my 'tenure' in prague 1994-6....the same still held true...every 'grape' wine tasted pretty much the same...apart from the one, that had been 'sweeter'...not that i like sweet wine....as it goes, eh?
