.....and if you want something that might knit together, the whole clump that has recently come up, dazzlenation....oh and if you're still on 'grunge'....then what about a holliday camp number?....remember gill 'n' rihanna.....along with kate holliday and her 'omelete' film - regarding the holliday/british royal attempt to re-colonise china?....oh and then we have crappy's input regarding the organiser of a certain 'met' exhibition.....dressed up in 'shades of grey' as a young robert cipolla mark II...the short ill-fitting trousers...a certain cable-knit grey jumper...and finally the 'showaddywaddy' outfit, in time for the show (the lead singer had looked a bit like gill)...'tiger feet', anybody?....oh and he even begins by telling the camera that he is a bit of a 'toby macklin'..."the great pretender" replies BI online....additionally, it is also a mossad number....toddy might remember their yellow 'n' black 'wheel of fortune' number...in relation to a certain 'access' sign, seen at the 'met' museum, early on in the documentary....go figure:
The Tragic Real-Life Story Of Alexander McQueen (grunge.com)
anyway, he'd got the storybook wrong....because this was all about 'peter pan' and not 'alice' through the looking glass.....in point of fact, it could have been re-titled 'on the wings of peter pan - on acid'....oh and let me just say this......imagine the following...what if china had come up with a major exhibition - inspired by england....entitled 'on the wings of peter pan - on acid'....can you guess what the result might have been?..."a nightmare"....lol.....anyway, apparently it made a huge amount of money - which appears to have been the real point, behind this rather pointless exhibition, let us say...."it did nothing but reinforce stereotypes"....which is sad because according to the article - mcqueen had wanted to empower women (and no doubt, other designers had the same idea, in mind)...and so if the exhibition had been thought through 'intelligently' and from the beginning....the outcome might have been rather different, don't you think, rather than turning into..."fright night"....what appears to be a predominantly gay, post-colonial mafia looting and plundering china's cultural heritage....well, that is what it comes across as, in the documentary...including that laugh-a-minute scene....where the organiser tells his chinese consultant that he wants an image of mao, in the middle of a buddhist room...and yes, i can undertand his 'rationale' - it is simply that there was quite obviously no way that it could work visually, without causing offence and to everybody concerned....let's think of a cultural parallel, whereby you could employ that technique etc etc....what about a N.I. art exhibition...featuring queen victoria in a potato field of starving peasants?....er....very bad idea...."that's a f**king brilliant idea" replies BI online...really, i don't think so - as it goes, eh?
