...and what's the 'pink bird' up to, today then?...ha ha ha...oh I see...'pam ayres' and my cue to talk about a short poem, that emma Wilcox...had asked me to write for her...after having given me the trigger to do so (and yes, this was the british army at work behind the scenes because some of them had really had enough of you-know-what)....see previous notes upon emma and her incredible story - regarding fairies at the bottom of the garden....anyway, if my memory serves me correctly....I wrote a poem, inspired by 'naming of parts' (oh and I mentioned that poem, in a subtitle)...Jacqui carroll was then to go around saying that I must have 'lost it' to have put up the following, in my workspace at dartington....anyway - emma Wilcox, sally tallant, denise hoyle, alister baxter and I cannot remember who else...then decided to have a poetry-writing evening....tallant was to end her poem with "oh god we're all going to die"...so much, so usual...denise was to come up with some startling imagery....emma was to say that it was a bit like the beatles and an octopus' garden....go figure:

A friend told me that there were fairies at the bottom of the garden

and so I had a look

to find a sub-atomic machine gun
