that funeral....see previous notes...only my father went...my mother told me that she wasn't going and that basically nobody else from our family was invited...isn't that strange? we had been on good terms with them, in neuveville....as far as I know...apart from caroline caning her father over the head with his walking stick...before he was allowed to come down the stairs, to meet us...see previous notes....go figure...

anyway, that Bognor regis address...where uncle Arnold had lived...was somewhere around here...I can remember the car journey past that shopping façade to the left....my mother then turned left down the next road....
