...oh and I was also to remember where the whole inspiration behind 'damien' had come from...and this goes back to Blackheath park in the 60s....toddy had noted the ferocity of little colin's 'demonic alter'...the child - terrified...by his blood disorder....being driven to...well, believe that the 'power of satan' ran him....

....and I can remember how it was relatively easy to talk him out of that 'rage'...by simply telling him that he was hungry...that was all....to the reply "you don't understand the power of satan"....to which I replied that once he had eaten...he would no longer be under the power of satan..."was it that simple?" he asked...I replied that sometimes the simplest things are the cleverest...and off we went....home for tea....
