....and there's more - we now have a wiki entry for GYDE:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyde

"....and this entry is completely made-up" replies MI5 ONLINE...about the following wiki entry for STOUTS HILL...I can see that...what a laugh...so who or 'what' is going into overdrive to make the name 'gyde' sound like it has a history?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stouts_Hill

let me guess...'a family of weavers'...I was to note that entry on the web circa 2005...a very poor Belgian family apparently - the income quoted was rockbottom for the times...but no further information.....and yet now? apparently they were wealthy enough to afford 'stouts hill'?

oh I get what this is all about now....having just watched 'the emperor's new clothes'....and seen a couple of cartoon characters (one French and one English) pretending to be tailors, weaving away....you get the picture?

anyway, all I can do is to reiterate what I have already noted upon this blog...that captain gyde (from a poverty stricken draper's family in Glasgow - surname mackay) was picked by MI5...from a local grammar school...brought down to London....where he was to gain the patronage of a certain aristocratic family who 'for reasons of their own' decided that they would also adopt the 'made-up surname' gyde....which is why my father was to talk about a certain wealthy aristocrat called 'Michael gyde'....who died a few years ago now...apart from that...well over a decade ago now - my father 'on a world wide search' for any other gydes...was to only find three...one 'down the road' in acocks green, b'ham...an elderly man ("living on the breadline" replies MI5 ONLINE)....and two maiden aunts...elderly ladies ("middle class") in Canada...whom he was to go and visit...so my father must have suspected that 'something was up' but hadn't quite got there...until MI5 did the research...to find out where 'captain gyde' had really come from...."luckily a few records still existed"....

...and now, we have a TIMOTHY GYDE to add to the list...how many more will mysteriously appear, then?
