...and what else, dazzlenation?...oddly enough - the following article reminds me of that very strange 'concrete wall' design of Blackheath primary school's playground...the parents were to complain when the headmistress ordered the children to stay in the playground and not go onto the heath - with a dinner lady to supervise them, during the summer term (because some of the children had been approached by strange-men-in-cars asking them to get in etc etc whilst on the heath)...anyway, the PTA parents figured that the playground used to become so hot - it was like an oven...true - you could cook an egg upon it...a bit of a double-bind, then?...anyway, I'm more interested in why those massive concrete playground walls had been constructed in the first place...had the area been some sort of a 'quarry'?...go figure:
