...anyway, to conclude....as far as I can remember....today had been all about maths...and how it isn't 'a piece of cake'...you have to be able to visualise it all, in your mind's eye...."mental multiplication" as toddy was to laugh....pat would have been brilliant at it...if she had not been torture-trauma programmed into..."the numbers sliding off the page"....and yes, you need to keep working at it....building up 'mental muscle' if you want to become really good at maths....and if you don't use it, you lose it - as susan bassnett was once to say, about languages....go figure.
